Stronger Together: Working in Partnership with Our Families
At Upper Batley High School, we know that strong relationships between home and school make a real difference to the success and wellbeing of our young people.
We are proud of the positive partnerships we have built with our parents, carers and wider community. Our recognition through the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) and ParentKind awards reflects our ongoing commitment to parental engagement and the importance we place on working together to support our learners.
We are always looking for ways to strengthen these relationships and ensure that parents and carers feel listened to, valued and involved in school life. Your support, whether through attending events, communicating with our staff team or encouraging learning at home, plays an important role in helping our young people to thrive.
Our Stronger Together Parent Forum meets every half-term and provides an opportunity for open, two-way communication between families and school leaders. These meetings allow us to share ideas, listen to feedback and work collaboratively to make UBHS the very best it can be for our learners.
We also recognise that some matters are more personal and may be better discussed individually. Our Senior Leaders therefore hold fortnightly drop-in mornings for parents and carers who would like to discuss a sensitive issue or raise a concern. These take place from 9.00am to 10.00am every other Friday, with the next session on Friday 6 November.
Our mission is to be one big family where everyone thrives, and this means working in partnership with you every step of the way. Thank you for your continued support and for playing such an important role in our school community. Together, we can ensure that every young person feels supported, valued and able to achieve their very best.
