I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our fantastic website which I hope gives you an insight into learning here at Upper Batley High School.
It is an absolute privilege to lead the school and continue to provide an excellent education to the young learners in our community. At UBHS, we embody a culture which encourages self-development to allow all our learners to realise their potential. Our staff team are truly committed to providing the best education possible to allow children to grow and secure great futures for themselves. We are passionate about the high-quality education that every child receives in our care and provide them with opportunities to help them maximise their potential regardless of their background.
Staff are dedicated to raising the aspirations of all our learners by creating a willingness to learn, further their skills and knowledge, and essentially improve their life opportunities. Hard work when, coupled with a growth mindset, can give children the essential skills to be successful in life. We help to remove any barriers to success and give all our learners the opportunities that they truly deserve. As a school we have a desire to see all young people visualise a dream, believe in themselves and then go on to achieve this dream through hard work, determination and dedication.
We aim to instil resilience to learning in children, where they feel challenged and have a real thirst to develop their knowledge and skills. We aspire for all learners to be leaders of their own learning to allow them to build the pathway to their own destiny through the care, support and guidance from staff at school and support from home.
For us, it is not just the academic side of learning that we aim to develop, but also to support our young people’s wellbeing and help to develop their personal skills by providing a wider educational experience in which they are able to flourish.
We always welcome visitors to our school so they can see, first-hand, the excellent work of our staff team in providing first-class education, support and guidance to learners of our school community. Should you wish to arrange an appointment to visit the school please contact our reception: office @ubhs.co.uk or 01924 326343.
