Upper Batley is a very popular high school in our community, and we are oversubscribed, with long waiting lists in each year group. This is down to our brilliant staff team, dedicated learners and fantastic school. 

 

Last week we had our Open Evening with many prospective parents/carers visiting the school, to find out more about us, to inform their decision-making and find the right secondary school for their child. Our visitors were wowed by the way our young people articulated what they love about being a learner here, how welcoming and caring the staff team are, and how they got a great vibe as they walked around the school site.

 

We received many lovely comments and feedback from prospective parents/carers, which is a testament to the great work the staff team does in school - sample below:

We are extremely proud of our school. We achieve excellent GCSE results, offer a bespoke and creative curriculum and provide first-class pastoral care to all our young people. We know how brilliant our school is, but it’s always great to hear it from others too - particularly those who are invested in our school culture.
