UBHS has received numerous awards over the years for our brilliant attendance in school. Last year, we were recognised by the Fischer Family Trust Foundation (FFT) for being in the top 25% of all schools nationally and top 10% of similar schools for our whole school attendance. 

Great attendance tells us a lot about learners and the school environment. As our attendance is so strong it demonstrates that learners feel happy, they feel safe and they enjoy school. Our excellent attendance record is a testament to the great work of our fantastic staff team and what they do to support learners by ensuring they are in school and accessing a brilliant education each day. 

Days missed from school can have a negative impact on learners’ progress and ultimately lead to gaps in learning and reduced outcomes at GCSEs. We expect all learners to be in school by 8.25am every morning. Learners with the best attendance and punctuality will be recognised by our school rewards’ scheme and provided with opportunities to join end of term rewards trips and celebrations.
