The use of technology in school
We all know that developments in technology can bring many benefits to school and home life. In school we use advances in IT such as; reading devices, specific software and artificial intelligence tools to support teaching and learning.
However, technology can also have a negative impact on learners, and at UBHS we work together with parents/carers to avoid any distractions to learning. We would like to thank everyone for supporting our home-school agreement, and in particular, the use of mobile phones.
You may have heard there has been some recent discussions nationally about mobile phone usage in schools and the distractions it brings to learning, as well as the negative impact on mental health that social media can have. We are pleased to say that, thankfully, we do not have issues with mobile phones in school and this is down to the support from parents/carers and our staff consistently following our school policies and procedures.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our parents/carers for your ongoing support. This is truly appreciated.
