Entrepreneurial Skills
At UBHS learners are taught to be creative, solution-focused and to develop their critical thinking techniques. These are all essential skills required by great entrepreneurs. We have a rich curriculum that supports learners to develop these skills and provide them with fantastic opportunities to enhance their learning about business and economics.
We encourage learners to participate in a range of extracurricular activities and clubs to build their confidence, develop their communication skills and learn new and interesting facts to further their broader knowledge.
Learners have been demonstrating brilliant entrepreneurial skills in a number of ways; selling food items from our kiosk area in the school Bistro, promoting their stall and selling honey and candles (made from our school bees) at the Heely's Christmas market and growing fruit and vegetables to be used in Food Technology as part of the ingredients for cooking and baking. Who knows, we may have the next Steve Jobs, Steven Bartlett or Peter Jones in our school!
