A culture built on respect
At UBHS we take great pride in teaching our learners to be respectful, considerate, and supportive of others. We believe that respect is the foundation of a strong and positive learning environment. From the moment learners walk through our doors, they are encouraged to treat one another with kindness and empathy. Our curriculum is not just about academic success; it also places a strong emphasis on character education, equipping our young people with the social and emotional skills they need to navigate the world with integrity and compassion.
Through assemblies, More in Common (PSHCE) lessons, and everyday interactions, we instil the importance of respecting different perspectives, celebrating diversity, and embracing inclusivity. Our staff model these values, ensuring that every young person feels seen, heard, and valued. We also encourage learners to take on roles of responsibility, such as prefects, sports leaders and school council representatives, to foster a culture where every voice matters.
We are incredibly proud of the respectful and inclusive environment that we have built together. This is not just the work of our staff team, but a partnership with parents and carers. Your continued support in reinforcing these values at home plays a vital role in shaping our young learners into thoughtful, responsible individuals. Thank you for being part of our school community and for working alongside us to nurture respectful, kind, and considerate learners.
