UBHS receives another FFT Attendance Award
At Upper Batley High School, we are incredibly proud of our learners’ commitment to excellent attendance. Over the years, our school has received several awards recognising this achievement. Most recently, we were honoured by the Fischer Family Trust (FFT) for being in the top 25% of all schools nationally, for overall attendance. This award is testament to the great work of our Attendance Officer Mrs Garside along with the Pastoral Team who set the highest standards.
Strong attendance tells us a great deal about our learners and the culture of our school. It shows that our learners feel safe, happy, and valued here, and that they enjoy being part of our community. This outstanding attendance is a credit to the dedication of our exceptional staff team, who work tirelessly to ensure that every learner is supported to be in school to give them access high-quality education every day.
Every day counts. Missing lessons can lead to gaps in learning, making it harder for young people to keep up and achieve their full potential, especially when it comes to GCSE outcomes. That’s why we expect all our learners to arrive at school by 8:25am each morning, ready to learn.
We believe in celebrating and rewarding excellent attendance and punctuality. Learners who meet these expectations are recognised through our rewards programme and will be invited to take part in special end of term celebrations.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us to maintain such high standards and ensuring every child has the best chance to succeed.
