At Upper Batley, our devoted staff team is dedicated to creating a culture, which empowers our young people to enable personal development, resilience and ultimately; to flourish as citizens of the community and wider world.

We teach learners to think creatively and have a growth mindset which encourages them to have a ‘can do’ attitude and believe in themselves when facing everyday challenges. A crucial aspect of our role as a school community; is to raise the aspirations of all our young people. To create a willingness to learn, further develop their understanding, knowledge and skills; essentially improving their future opportunities. We have a desire to see our young people visualise their dream, believe in themselves and then realise their dream, through hard work and determination.

Last week we shared our aspirations with prospective learners and parents/carers during our Open Evening. We encourage all prospective parents/carers to submit their admissions applications as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and ensure their child has the opportunity to experience life at Upper Batley High School.
