Cultivating Creativity
Albert Einstein famously said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun”.
At UBHS, creativity is integral to our ambitious curriculum which encourages learners to try different approaches to find solutions to problems and think outside the box. This way of working also helps our young people to develop their skills alongside self-confidence and become more resilient, which are essential for their future lives beyond school.
In recent weeks, learners have been exploring, demonstrating and stretching their creative flair by participating in a wide range of projects and extracurricular activities. From leading assemblies to taking part in the weekly creative workshops and the STEM roadshow event (featured below), as well as getting involved in community projects, taking music lessons and much more. Here young people are able to express themselves in any number of ways to suit their needs and interests.
Staff in school pride themselves on providing learners with many opportunities to help stretch and challenge them to think independently and be inherently creative in their day-to-day school life.
