Creative learning outside the classroom
Our broad, balanced and engaging curriculum offers learners the perfect opportunity to grow and develop their skills, knowledge and understanding across a wide range of subjects. As well as teaching learners new concepts, we build on prior knowledge and give our young people greater breadth and depth of the curriculum, in each subject area. We have an ambitious curriculum that challenges learners, builds on the national curriculum and embodies mutual respect, humanity and passion for learning.
Alongside this, learners receive expert careers guidance to inform them throughout their five-year journey and beyond. This also helps our young people to plan and prepare for later life and helps raise their aspirations for the future.
In addition to their academic studies and careers work, learners also have the benefit of learning outside the traditional classroom setting and are able to develop valuable life skills that prepare them for their next steps and employment. A brilliant example of this is the learning that takes place in our Forest School where learners develop and build on essential skills such as being resilient, solution-focused, flexible, teamwork, numeracy and communication skills. They also really enjoy being outdoors and being in a green space aids their wellbeing.
