I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the importance of commitment and dedication to studying - principles we strongly uphold here at Upper Batley High School.

For our Year 11 learners, the countdown is well and truly on to their GCSEs. These exams represent a key milestone in their educational journey, and we know that many have been working with great focus and determination to prepare. We wish each and every one of them the very best of luck. Your hard work will pay off, and we are incredibly proud of all you have achieved so far.
 

Of course, it’s not only Year 11 who are working hard. Across the school, learners in every year group are making progress in their subjects, engaging positively in lessons, and showing a genuine enthusiasm for their learning. Whether it’s Year 7 and 8 learners becoming more mature and  confident with their studies, Year 9s making important decisions about their future pathways, or Year 10s preparing for their own GCSEs next year, there is a real sense of purpose and pride in all they do.
 

Behind every successful learner is a dedicated team who go above and beyond every single day. Here, our staff are committed to providing the highest quality of education, along with personalised support and care. We recognise that wellbeing is just as important as academic success, and we take pride in creating an environment where every learner feels valued, supported, and confident in their ability to thrive.
