It has been a fabulous first week back and there is a great buzz when you walk around the school site and see the amazing learning taking place in lessons. I would like to congratulate our brilliant learners for their positive attitude and how quickly they have got back into routines and have been very focussed on their learning. 

The school is oversubscribed in all year groups with a long waiting list of students who wish to join Upper Batley; this is testament to the quality learning that takes place here. We have recruited additional teachers of the highest calibre to teach the very best lessons to our learners. We describe ourselves as being one big family and this week we are pleased to welcome new members to our family in the form of our new Year 7 learners and new staff to our school community.

It is an absolute privilege to lead a truly talented, hard-working and committed staff team who work tirelessly in providing a first-class education to the amazing learners of our community. In school, we pride ourselves on our core values of: Believe, Achieve, Succeed and expect everyone to be the best versions of themselves.
