At UBHS our staff team are committed to the above vision and values and strive to provide a safe, inspiring and caring environment in which learners can learn and flourish.

We have highly skilled and talented teachers who know how to get the best from our learners. They work on developing an effective rapport with the young people in their care and work hard on relationships to achieve desired outcomes. A large proportion of our staff are lead practitioners in their subject areas and are experts in their field. As Headteacher, it is a real honour and privilege to work with such an enthusiastic, committed and talented group of people.

All teaching initiatives and interventions we use in school are researched-based with proven high-impact on learners’ progress and attainment. Our work links to research carried out by the Education Endowment Foundation with strategies that have the highest impact used in school. This supports us to achieve great outcomes for all our learners, help them to grow and develop as young people, and be successful in later life.
