Batley in Bloom

With this lovely sunshine, comes the new blooms of spring. As Lady Bird Johnson once said "Where flowers bloom, so does hope". We hope you are all staying safe & well, and have had a lovely Easter. Over the past week we have had some lovely feedback from families, thank you for taking the time to email us. We have also received more positive comments on Twitter for our school videos and Thoughts for the Day (released every weekday at 11.30am); our PPE visas for NHS workers, made by the fantastic Mr & Mrs Farrar; praise for our very own Mr Parkin for his reading of the "The Rainbow Children" from the author herself Gemma Peacock; and our very own Mr Linney appears in the special birthday book to celebrate the 100th birthday of Captain Tom Moore, the amazing veteran who has raised over £20million for the NHS after walking 100 laps of his garden. There has never been a more important time than now for everyone to be the very best version of themselves. To be kind, be caring, be compassionate, think of others, and all do whatever we can to help other people, and support our brilliant community through these challenging times. Ordinary people can do extraordinary things, as these few small acts of kindness demonstrate. After all, the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little bit extra.
