Governors Team

The Governors at UBHS are a team of highly committed, highly successful, professional, hardworking individuals who care passionately about providing the best educational provision for the young men who attend our school. They are truly committed to effectively educating Tomorrow's Successful Men. The Governors are uncompromising in their pursuit of excellence and they challenge senior leaders and stringently hold them to account on all aspects of school improvement. They were proud to announce that our school was in the Top 100 Most Improved Schools in the UK due to our excellent GCSE results from 2013 onwards. In 2016 we were identified as  Beacon of Success school in the Northern Powerhouse report.  Our school is going from strength to strength every single year.

The Governors are all linked to departments for example English, maths and science and key areas of school such as pupil progress, pupil premium, eSafety, safeguarding and SEND. The Governors visit school regularly to meet Middle Leaders, teachers, associate staff and most importantly our learners. These visits enable our Governors to really get to know the school and all members of our learning community, to ensure our standards are high in every area. Governors have a relentless focus on improving standards in our school and they have a deep and accurate understanding of daily life and performance at UBHS.
