Keeping ourselves and our community safe

We would like to thank all our parents and carers for ensuring their son has a face mask for school each day, and ensuring he knows how to put it on and take it off safely. Our learners have all adapted very well to wearing a mask, regularly sanitising their hands and maintaining social distancing from each other. These are difficult times, but it is crucial everyone keeps themselves safe, in order to keep our whole community safe.

If your son, or a member of your household is showing symptoms of Covid-19, or has tested positive in the last 10 days then please do not send your son into school. If your son is showing symptoms such as a new persistent cough, high temperature, or has a loss of, or change in their sense of taste and/or smell, then you should arrange for him to be tested.

If they have tested positive whilst not experiencing the symptoms, and then symptoms develop later during the isolating period then they should restart the isolating period for 10 days from when the symptoms started.

Other members of the household must also self isolate for 14 days from when the first person in the house developed symptoms.

In the Batley and Dewsbury area we are also unable to visit, socialise or have anyone else visit us from other households. We know this is hard, but we need to do everything we can to prevent the virus from spreading. Please keep yourself and others safe at all times.
